Question about getting headers
Been thinking about getting headers (pacesetter longtubes). What do I need to do exhaust wise to accommodate them? I already have a Edelbrock y-pipe but not sure what size it is. Other than that my exhaust is stock.

well you need to get gaskets for the headers, i suggest gm ones....and make sure ur y pips fits up to the headers proprely or there will be welding and cutting involved, also you need to make sure that the pipe has the prober hangers on it , or they will have to be welded on,.....you have to decide if you want cats or not, and also does you headers and y-pipe have fitting to screw in your 02 sensors, also b/c of the long tubes you will need to get O2 extensions

fyi you will prob be throwing codes after the install b/c of the LT's, either get ur rear O2's tuned out or get a pair of O2 simulators

2nd the GM header gaskets they seal great. I'm not sure if the edelbrock Y will work, you might have to take it to a muffler shop. I would not run cats because of expense so just get them tuned out, no problem. Also spend the extra money to get the coated pacesetters.
