    question on 99 ta

    this may sound stupid but I just bought a 1999 trans am mostly for looks
    it says it has a 5.7 is that a ls1?

    yes.. it is an LS1.. 5.7 liter doesnt just mean LS1. 5.7 liter is engine size. for example, my LT1 formula has the same size engine 5.7 Liter LT1 engine.. that is just the size of the engine and The LS1 is just the name of the engine..

    by the way, the question is not stupid at all.. we all learn.. if you got any other questions, do not hesitate, just ask.. otherwise you won't learn..
