ive never been to the track yet and was just curious what quarter mile times i could be lookin at. a buddy thinks i wont get in the 11's but i thought i would. 98 ss m6 prc stage 2.5 heads 228R cam, bbk intake, 85mm tb, slp cold air, pacsetter longtubes ORY, 100 shot. i still have to take it to get dyno tuned so im not sure on hp numbers yet.

although it might seem to be easy to guess what time you'll run its actually very difficult, since there are many factors that come into play HP, Suspension, Weather, Tires and Driver to just start off with. If you had good traction, meaning 60ft and excellent shifting you should be able to achieve 11's with no issues. I was wondering the same thing, i will be getting LT's and 150 wet shot but with the tires i have and suspension it will be very hard to achieve.

if the stars align, you can be in the 11s without the 100 shot

I run the same heads/cam you have through a stalled auto with gears and MT drag radials and I ran a 12.02 a month or so ago and that's been my best time so far. I'm going to Kil-Kare out by dayton Thurs. to a test and tune and try to run it at night once and see if I can dip it into the 11's. You're biggest battle is going to be your 60ft. Gotta have traction. I cut a 1.6x on that 12.02 run. With the 100 shot you're in the 11's easy....deep deep into the 11's with traction.

Sounds like a 10 second car if properly set-up.

Cam only cars these days run 11s. Head/cam car with nitrous should be 10s with a good launch.

10 second street legal cars are not all as easy as these guys make it sound.
Suspension/Driveline/RearEnd better be together.
Driver better be decent+
It aint just horsepower and you push the gas pedal.

Launching is 90% of your time imo. If you can launch the car well, im going to assume you know how to shift well. The rest comes down to how well your car is setup and runs.
and depending on where you are at in Ohio, DA is not always on your side most of the time. I would love to get a chance to run at some tracks with negative DA

Well my buddy just ran a low 11. He has LTs, open Y, 3600 stall, and a 100 shot. Oh and mickeys.
So I guess it is that easy...
