    2000 transam ram air WS6

    problems changing window motor

    hey guys

    i was installing a window motor on passenger side .
    did driverside 2 years a go i thought i still knew how to do it
    now i drillt al four of the rivets and the spring on the inside and everything is lose now . please help how do i get my stuff back together?

    What do you mean everything is loose now, the actual mechanisms moving parts, or where the rivets were and you bolted it to? Got a pic or something? Need more info plz....

    the actual mechanism is lose and there is a spring in there rolled up and that part is also lose it is the mechanism where you bolt the motor on to !

    Sounds like a faulty mechanism, probably got tweeted and now the moving parts are loose. If it brand new I'd remove it and see about taking it back and getting it exchanged for a tighter assembly..

    no the mechanism is loose where you are supposed to bold the windowmotor on the windowmotor is fine it's is the part with the where you bolt the windowmotor on to i drilld the wrong rivets . but i won't get it back in place !!

    there 's a spring in the door that keep tension on the motor i geuss and in need to get the tension back on that spring any ideas??

    If the spring popped off you need to remove the regulator to reinstall it. Just as long as nothing is broken it should go right back together. Make sure when you reinstall put all the bolts back to the original location so the window lines up correctly.
