    Ben Stiller movie.

pretty product, but will it function over stock?

i love the look of this polished intake manifold, but do you guys know if it will function better than the ls1? better than the ls6?

I didnt see where it was ported or any specs on it outside of the "pretty" factor....I like the poly of FAST for the heat issues....

all those aftermarket alluminum intakes are all based off of the LS6 intake.

you are better off buying a used LS6 off the web for $200-300.

not only will that alluminum POS make the same power as a factory LS6.... it weighs like 20 times more..... and you get a shit load of HEAT SOAK....

no thanks.... stick with the LS6 unless you have a MAX EFFORT H/C or bigger cubes than get a FAST!

Maybe an advantage for the nitrous user to prevent a manifold explosion. Other than that I have to agree with the heat soak advantages of the "plastic" LS6. You would only get 5-10 HP advantage with the BBK at best, if you also have a modified exhaust system. Looks are a subjective thing of course, some guys are all about the look-some are all about performance.

I have a ported Weiand. Don't care for it, planning on selling it. Watched it heatsoak on a dyno and lose HP so yes, heatsoak is there. A FAST can be ported, so stick with a fast

How much HP did you lose? Was thinking of going with it.

Friend of mine has one on his T/A. Look good actaully. but not that much gain in HP from what he reported. As other stated above you get heat soak form it.. but no one has ever said how much heat soak will kill you after you push some air through it. How long does it take to cool it downto the point where it doesn't matter.. does it ever cool off? Even in a cooler climate?

I would personally NOT get one. taking it on and off is just a pain and I had issues getting the sucker to get back on the engine once we took it off and after the heads were mill like .003 and it now has a leak(vacum) towards the rear of it....

search ls1tech, there is a test of it vs LS6 and the LS6 performed better. Other than the Fast 90, LS6 is as good as it gets

+1, I agree, pretty but heavy.. I got the Fast LSx 78mm. gained a good 15+rwhp. but it costs $700.. much better than LS6 especially when I will do heads/cam it will pay off a lot more then...

definately would put the money on it when u can get an ls6 for cheaper.

Youd have to be throwing ice on the intake like crazy on the track....
Your hot lapping would be allot worse too
