    Power Window Problems

I have a 1999 Trans Am WS6 and i know that these cars arent exactly the best when it comes to powering the power windows. I know that they are underpowered. Recently, when i go to put my driver side window down, it will only go down a couple of centimeters. It takes about half a day to get the window down half way. And i have to let the window sit for about 5-10 minutes before it starts to go down again. It's the same way for putting it up as well. My passenger window is fine. Is this a problem with the motor? Or possibly something else?

the window motor is bad...its drawing too much current and its circuit breaker is kicking out.replace it with a advance auto unit that has a life time warranty.50 dollars

Check to make sure that the window is free to go up or down while you are in there replacing the motor-might be hanging up on something.

I had both of my power actuator motors replaced on my car. My passenger window still goes up a bit slow.

don't replace it with stock motors... I did that (under warranty) and they would just go out again.. I finally replaced them with auto zone window motors and they have been working fine. they seem to be faster than the stock and like above post they will give you a lifetiem warranty.
