power steering res.
i think my power steering res is leaking. it is leaking on my alternator,that wont affect it will it?
and i dont know my to get it off

I had the same prob on '00 SS awhile back, it turned out to be the pump itself. And it did cut the life of alt. very short.

i dont think it is the pump because it supposedly got a "brand new one" about 2-3 months ago.

It is your pump, it has happened to me. And yes your alternator is now garbage. I had to replace my pump alternator AND battery. the replacement ones are good but the o-rings that block the oil at the shaft goes out rather quickly. Get one from Autozone it has lifetime warranty.
