    Question power steering problem???

    Hey i am 96 trans am, and i was driving it just fine and i had to turn around in the road and it worked fine but after i got straight from turning around i have no power steering at all, its really hard to turn!! i got home and checked for leaks maybe a busted hose , but no bust, and all the power steering fluid is still filled up . What could be the Problem?????? Please Help!!!

    Sounds like your pump took a poo on ya. Replace the pump.

    I agree the pump probably blew out. Even though it looks fine from the outside it's probably all messed up on the inside. A way to check it is take the pressure line that comes out of the power steering and put it into something filled with power steering fluid. Start the car and turn the wheel. Have a buddy look in the fluid there should be pressure and the fluid level should rise. If not replace it and get a new pump! Hope this helps...
