Power Steering Dipstick Length
Hello all. This kinda of a weird request but I'm replacing the power steering pressure hose on my 98 TA and I noticed the old PS dipstick is longer than the newer one I got about 6 months. I don't have parts numbers to compare but the shorter one(current one) is 1 1/2" long from the bottom of the cap to the end on the dipstick.
I'm wondering if I have the wrong dipstick and I am overfilling the PS reservoir. Can someone measure their PS dipstick and tell me if I got the wrong one?
When I got the replacement I got the part number from the computer. That is not always right as it was the case with the PS hose. The numbers it gave me were wrong and the shape of hose was incorrect. I ended up getting the right one from rock auto. Thanks.

Was your original cap weeping? Ours does that so I always have a film of fluid around the cap that I clean up anytime I have the hood open.
