    Power Steeing Pump

    I beat the crap of my poweer steering pump over the weekend now i have to replace..
    Estimate time to replace it, with a couple of beers in between?

    About 1 1/2 hours, don't forget to bleed the system.

    is it the o rings or the pump?


    Also rent a puller form any of the parts stores.

    I first thought it was th rings since i just noticed a hose wet first, this was last week but this morning it was compltely drained and the little fluid that was still insidd was bubbling

    If the pump went you have a hell of a time steering.

    The pump has a total of 2 o rings. One for the High pressure and one for the reservoir. Most ppl forget or don't know it's there. The low pressure hose does not have one. At least on a 98' it doesn't.

    I would check the o rings at and the R&P too. My R&P has been leaking for a long while now. I just add fluid. It's a major bitch to change it so I'm waiting till I upgrade to a New K Member or as long as I can to replace it.

    Cover your alt. or take it off. PS fluid will kill it.

    Edit: You've already been leaking fluid so the atl. has fluid in it. Pull it off and clean it.
