Popping Ignition Fuses
Just getting my motor back in the car and I keep popping the big 50 amp fuse for my ignition. I am wondering if I hooked the starter up incorrectly so I drew a little diagram... Where does the wire that has the ring on the end (far right) attach to? I have it on the starter right now, but does it go somewhere else?
Also, is there anything else that could be causing this? My interior light and annoying ass ding sing thing work, my lights all work, my gauges light up, and my fuel pump turns on but as soon as I turn the key the fuse pops.

Where is it grounded to the engine? Usually a LSX motor will have a smaller gauge wire with a ring on it grounded to the head or somewhere on the engine for a ground.

There are ground wires on the back of the head. The wire I'm referring to is near the starter on the passenger side and there is a power wire, some small wire (not too sure where it goes), and the other larger gauge wire which is currently attached to the 3rd post on the starter. I made sure all my other grounds are tight, but for some reason I don't remember that 3rd wire going to the starter?

haha. it would much appreciated. I can't tell you how much bad luck I've had getting this thing together. Got the motor, k-member, and tranny back in the car then realized I forgot to bolt the pickup to the oil pump. took the front accessories and cover back off and then dropped the damn bolt into the pan. Had to drop the pan and use a magnet to get the bolt and finally button everything back up. Accidentally hooked a power and ground together and had a spark show haha (fixed now), then I locked my keys in the car and now this. Story of my life

Thanks that may have helped! At first I hooked the power and ground on the starter together by accident and that how I got the spark show but I moved it to the second big post and no sparking, it just pops an ignition fuse when I turn the key. Also, I don't see any other spot the hook to ground in the area
