PO171 PO172 wtf is wrong

alright guys i just bought this car a few weeks ago and i drove it already 1000 miles, right when i got it i put my diablo sport on this car is pretty stock except the lid grannatelli maf and flowmaster cat back,

but this weekend it keeps throwing these codes, havent had a chance to really look at it, but the 02's are reading good and the car runs fine, i kinda think that the fuel filter probably hasnt been changed or that my diablo sport isnt working well with the grannatelli maf,

any ideas, anybody else with this problem what was it?

i would try putting a stock 02' M.A.F. on there. i put an slp M.A.F. on my car and the car didnt like it at all. Started throwing codes and running sluggish under 2,500 rpms, the car had a predator tune 2. i switched back to my stock maf and the car ran great.(i had the slp maf on the car before i got the diablo tuner, dont know if it makes a diff.)
doesnt the tuner tell you what the codes meen?

oh sorry yeah the codes mean bank 1 and bank 2 lean,
i aslo talked to mike at diablo sport and he has been telling me to pull of the maf and get a stock one to replace it with, think im gonna swap it from my 99 ss

You mean you installed the predator tune on it? Could be the MAF, I'm sure it assumes MAF is stock. I'd look up the diagnostics for those codes at gearchatter.com Strange you'd be getting codes for both lean and rich on the same bank? Maybe it's a bad injector?

OK, both banks lean would be P0171 and P0174, right?

+1 on the stock one, I heard the aftermarket MAFs lean the motor out. Just not worth it IMO

right im going to put my stock one back on, the problem is my stock one is on my 99 and when i switch then im just gonna be back in the same boat with my 99!

anybody here wanna trade my grannatelli for your stock, guess this thread wouldnt be the best place to advertise eh? lol
