    Plug Wire Question

im looking to get new plug wires. im looking to get some that will stand up to the high heat of my headers on my LT1 TA. i currently have 8.5mm MSD wires. they are less than 1 year/10k miles old. and they are shot after my header install. and the do have the heat sheild on the ones closest to my headers. im looking at the accell wires. just dont want to do this again. its a royal pain in my ass.

i do know that lots run msd s and taylors with headers with no problems. maybe taylors would be a good choice for you then

The problem is you are running them under the headers. I had the same issue with the headers on my LT1. They are getting burned up as soon as you put them on. Get a custom wire kit from Taylor Vertex or MSD and run them on top. I know its hard doing this having a Opti-Spark but trust me, it works!

It is harder to run them in the factory location. It is way easier to customize them. You will have to do a search cause its been more than 5 years since I did mine.
