Ok so I have a 97 camaro. And one off my mods is my hooker long tube headers with 3" off road y pipe with the 3" cat back magnaflow exhaust. now I have a SLP I believe its called a bullet or loudmouth muffler (its just a strait pipe about abut 2" long and like 4" wide) but what I was wondering if I cut my muffler off on the back and welded the SLP bullet in there if it would be to loud to were I would get pulled over all the time or would it sound ok for a DD? Thanks

im not sure how the cops are where you live but i just got done puttin heads/cam and pacesetter longtubes with off road y-pipe and the slp loudmouth on my 98 ss and its REALLY loud, almost too loud. im thinkin about puttin different exhaust on it in future

Keep the magnaflow on there or get another magnaflow to replace it if you want a different sound. The loudmouth 1 will produce a lot of drone and interior resonance with those hooker headers. Personally I think the loudmouth sounds good if you don't have headers, otherwise it's very loud.

I agree. i really liked the sound of the loudmouth before i put the headers on but now its just a lil too loud.
