alot of it has to do with your driving habbits... if you let your car slow you down by downshifting rather then braking then you'll suck way more oil into your intake then if you didn't.... nothing wrong with it, thats just the way the system works...

I rarely slow down with brakes I almost always slow down with my engine so I purchased a catch can...

again in my opinion Revxtreme is the best, largest, nicest, and I think is only 70$ can't go wrong with that!

our cars come with a PCV valve. unfortunately pulling crankcase pressure from the valve covers where all the oil is being splashed around isn't a good thing. a PCV valve doesn't stop oil vapors. this is where the catch can comes into play.

    I got an EGay special.
    And I regret it.

Thunder has a nice one. Little pricey though.

CC.... catch can does it have a condensing system in it (filter or metal media) to condense the oil so it drops to the bottom of the can

    Yeah.
I never used it, ever. If it is too hot, the car is a dog anyways, so I just take the daily driver.
Left it off when I put the 402 in, trying to counteract the extra weight of the iron block.

This is an older crappy pic of my engine bay, but heres my setup. I got it from Thunder, but when i bought it, it was about 80 bucks, now i think its gone up to 90. Still cheaper than the amw ones. Its a pretty nice piece, and it does the job but if you get it just make sure not to overtighten the drain petcock on the bottom. Its a tapered pipe fitting that seals up perfect when its just snugged up. Unfourtunatley i didnt know this when i installed mine, and i tightened the sh!t out of it. Now it seeps a little, so i gotta unscrew the bottom drill it out and tap it for a new fitting.
