Angry Parking brake doesn't work after relocation bracket installation

Anyone ever had this problem? I paid a shop to install the relocation brackets and when I got home to use the parking brake, the handle was siezed. The shop owner said that it is in the auto tightening mechanism. The problem I have is that now it doesn't work at all, and it worked like it was brand new before the install. He said if I order the cable from the handle to the right-left split he'll install it for me. I don't think it is right that I have to buy the cable and then pay for him to install it when it worked perfectly fine before hand. Any thoughts on how I can fix it or should I demand that fix it back to the way it was when I dropped it off?

Look to see if they damage the cable by the axel or anywhere else. If they did then they should pay for it. but it not working could just be coincidence and not their fault at all which would mean you should pay for it. You need to look at it closer to get the facts.

There doesn't seem to be any damage at all to the cabling. No fraying, binding, etc. I'm wondering if it is in the parking brake mechanism on the axle or if it is under the console?

sounds fishy to me. I guess it could be a coincidence but I doubt it.

    Thumbs up

The cable is too tight. Check the routing of the cable. Look at another F-body and compare to yours.

I'll take a look at it tomorrow Allen. We are on Christmas stand-down now so I have plenty of time to fix this before I go on leave.
