P0135 dead end.
I get in my car, start her up and noticed the MIL light on. I take it to have it scanned and it is the famous P0135 code. I get underneath the car and see no burnt wires, then I check the fuses and they are not blown. I go and buy the Bosch 13111 O2 sensor and install it and the code doesn't go away. Ive tried unhooking the battery and even fuses to reset the ECU to see if that would do the trick. Any suggestions?? Does the car need to go through a few cycles to turn the MIL light off or do I need to have it turned off by a scanner? Or did I even fix the problem? The car has long tube headers and has been tuned by HPTuners last year. Thanks...

Usually disconnecting power to the ecm will extinguish a cel. You need to do some more testing on the harness. Also get it scanned by a testical2 so you can see if it is passing as of now and stored as a history code or if its a current failure

Well ignore this post. I drove it this morning and the light went out after a 1/4 of a mile. I guess it had to go through the cycles.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I would turn it off with a scanner. I had a code PO136 and I replaced the secondary O2 but on the wrong side. I installed the old, good O2 on the correct side and the MIL went out, but when I did a scan, the code was still in the PCM. Cleared and all is well.

The code wont clear on its own until after 40 consectutive warm cycles without a repeat failure. It is still stored in your pcm as a history code. The pcm will turn the cel off after 3 consecutive ignition cycles without a repeat failure
