    Oxygen SImulators

It seems that the federal Government has put CASPER out of business. I cant find O2 simulators anywhere but E-Bay. Does anyone know where one can find O2 sensor simulators?

Just get it tuned and have the rear's disabled, it is more reliable...and more fun!

Well I didnt know if they would be reliable or just junk! The ones I got from Jegs that were made by CASPAR lasted only 15K miles.

I had the ones from ebay for about 2 years with no issues. Then I had them tuned out! They really were not bad at all though.

That is roughly how much a shop should charge to plug in HPTuners and delete the rear codes for you.

This is fool-proof as well....unlike sims. Which are known to work for about a month then throw a code again.

My friend got the O2 simulators for his GMC Sierra 4.8 and they did what you describe. Work for a while and then they still throw a code.

The computer is smart enough to figure out that the signal the sensors are inputting is no good after a while. It can command the A/F rich for a specified amount of time, and then monitor the rear O2's for a change in the readings. The sims can't anticipate any change, so it fails the test.

Like Luos said, the only legit and foolproof way to eliminate the rear O2's is with tuning software, like HP tuners or LS1 Edit.

    ^ that...

also... if you get a dyno tune most tuners will delete them for free with the tune...
