    Overheating

Hey guys sorry if this was mentioned before, but im asking this on behalf. He has a 1994 Chevy z28. The car has the thermostat with 180, waterpump replaced. I checked the fans, and made sure the radiator was fine. I made sure there was coolant. So im not sure why its overheating. A mechanic told me that it is the head gasket, is it true? THanks in advance.

Has the coolant ever been flushed? How do you know its overheating? If it is a head gasket issue, there will be a leak somewhere around the head. Between where the head and block bolt together. Also check the engine oil and make sure its not contaminated and check the coolant for the same issue. Have you tried bleeding the system to get all the air out?

Is the thermostat brand new?? but if the system was flushed and everything brand new i don't see why it should have had any problems... and is it getting enough pressure?? maybe theres a crack somewhere...

Yeah make sure thats done.... and find out about the parts if they were used or what not... and has the car set for any amount of time?? because if it has then maybe the inside of the radiator is all rusted and corroded...
