    Over-ride headlights

Does anyone have a idea as to how to over-ride the automatic on/off headlights on a 4th gen F Body? I want to just use the manual switch. Is there a fuse to disconnect? I've owned other GM cars of the same era 1999-2001 Etc.. that have a button right next to the on/off switch that allows you to manually overide the auto feature, but that's not an option on my Camaro. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know. Thanks

Heres a bump for ya,,,,,as I would love to know too. It's a very annoying feature and I would like to eliminate it as well.

Anyone out there? I am sure this has been done before.

Replace the light sensor in the dash with a 10k ohm resistor.

Thats how I turned mine off.

Well greatwhite,,,according to the write up you posted,,,all I have to do is removed the radio and look for a small control module and just unplug the harness with the blue wire and leave it at that. Hmmmm that sounds too easy. Anyone try this?

Side effect: The car won't know when the e-brake is on and you won't be able to pop your trunk while it's running and not in park (ie all the time in an M6).

Just jump the two wires that connect the sensor on your dash together. Done.

I believe that is what Edblownvert was talking about, except he installed a 10 ohm resistor between the 2 wires.
I would think that without the resistor,,,,just connecting the 2 wires together wouldn't work. There has to be something in there with some resistance so everything else works properly. Correct?

It may work. But I measured the resistance and found it was about 10k ohm.
