I highly recommend Shaeffers.....Pennzoil Platinums new chemistry is equal to Shaeffers......and I recommend PP simply because it is cost effective and easily obtained....Shaeffers is sometimes difficult to get for many of the guys....but if you can get it....you got a outstanding oil for sure.

He has plants, and a wreath on the door. Ooh lah lah.

Out of curiosity, where do you "dump" your oil? I fill three five gallon jugs, then I dump them...for legal reasons I am not saying any further.

I have a recycling center within three miles of me. All I do is take it there. You can recycle oil and anti-freeze in the SAME big containers. Never figured that one out.

Places like Auto-Zone usually have waste oil collection areas too.

hey Sarge, I wanna stick with the Rotella, I get a lot of good feedback on that oil but just wondering with 143000 miles would I be better off with the 0w30 or the 15w40? Rotella is developed for vehicles without catalytic converters (aka heavy trucks) and therefore has a large content of protective additives (ZDDP) that are not emissions approved, however since my cat was removed by a prior owner I don't need to worry about all the ZDDP clogging a cat up.

Well if anyone cares German Castrol is back on the shelves at Autozones nationwide. Just picked up a half case. This solves my oil dilemma of what to use in my TA next change. http://theoildrop.server101.com/foru...6j6#Post959576

It's an actual group IV synthetic base stock. PP, M1, all other Castrol syntecs are a Group III (dino) base stock with syn additives. Read more:

Do you have any idea why you can dump used oil AND used anti-freeze/coolant in the same container? Seems strange to me.....

A wife's domain never reaches into the garage. Grow some fuzz on those balls and burn that frilly shit. Or, start putting pictures of oil bottles in the kitchen!
