I am no expert but YES. Time to at least change that pcv valve or get a catch can. Look it up at Thunder Racing. Does anyone else have any other ideas? Is it actually physically possible to have an oil leak run into you intake?

Make sure your new PCV valve closely resembles the old one...

can i just connect a thin rubber hose from where the plastic line is broken to the pcv valve itself?

sounds like you got yourself a vacuum leak now...if you broke the plastic line between the intake manifold and the PCV valve, no fret, 3/8" pcv hose will work just fine, if you broke the other one, I dunno what to tell you. 3/4" hose fits the big end of the valve, but I only found heater hose that size and then there's the whole biz of adapting it to the rest of the system...i'm still trying to figure put how to get my system to work right...i figure with the added cubes, must be some sort of upgrade needed for the stock system...

yea sounds like a vaccum leak. do what he said^^^ did you follow a how to? and yes sarge is correct the engineers did some weird shit with the ls1. also you might already know but the vaccum of the pcv and i believe the seal (correct me if i'm wrong sarge or someone) is poorly designed and to strong, so it sucks a very little amount of oil from the crank case and throws it in the intake. something like 10-15 wot will get you about a teaspoon of oil in the intake.

i followed a how to but the old valve was stuck so i had to force it out...i had no idea that the rest of the line was made of plastic...WTF?
i barely moved the line and it just snapped in 2 different ways
it cracked from the part where it sits on the side of the intake and it cracked from the part near the PCV valve itself

If you have any leaks between where the PCV line connects to the motor and where it connects to the throttle body, you're going to have a vacuum leak.

Simple fix?? Throw a breather filter on the end of the PCV line, and put a vacuum cap over the port on the throttle body. Catch can (as was mentioned) works too, but if the PCV hose is cracked/leaking, you're still going to have a problem.
