    Oil pan removal

I took my transmission out to rebuild it and noticed the oil pan seal was leaking and decided to replace it. Well I got all the bolts out of it and I just cant get the pan to slide past the oil pickup and part of a journal. Has anybody take one of theses pans off before? I have my car on 4 jack stands and the tranny out, any suggestion on how to get the pan off? Any input is appreciated. Thanks

You'll have to raise the motor a little bit to get the pan out.

there are two pins that hold the seal and the pan to the block also.

Yea, I jacked the motor up but the oil pickup was still catching so I ended up unbolting that to get the pan off.
