    oil light ?

ok ..... so i did a oil change about 2 months ago , and i reset the oil light with the "GM" procedure ... since then my camaro has seen about 1000 miles , and i guarentee, i do not drive the car hard. but when i start the car my change oil light comes on for about 10 to 20 seconds. any ideas ?

by the way , the car is a 2000 camaro M6 with 80,000 on the clock

Was your change oil light on before your last oil change? Did it not come on after you reset it then? Or was it not on before the last oil change, and maybe you did something wrong on the reset procedure. It does not have an actual sensor that checks oil composition, it goes by how you drive the car, temps of the engine, RPM, and other things.

The trip method never really worked well for me. I've always used the gas pedal method to turn off the light.

Quickest link I could find, but there's a bunch more.
