Heard nothing but bad things about royal purple. Don't think you can go wrong with Mobil 1.

I use Mobil 1 and get good UOA numbers with 5000 mile OCI's but according to Sarge's UOA's Penzoil Platinum works better for less money and I will be making the switch when I use up my Mobil 1 stash.

I use normal Castrol in all my GT;s, trucks and my TA and they all run fin. I never used synthetic in my DD Celica and it had over 300k when it blew up and I beat it much worse than my TA. Evern my supercharged LX 5.0 ran fine.

I found a Jiffy Lube near my house that carries pensoil platinium, I probably try that out.
Also how often should I change the oil? (i know the standard 3000 mile thing but I only drive her maybe 100 miles a year, if that)

I thought with any synthetic you can change every 6 months instead of 3 if it isn't driven to the ground. I guess it should depend on mileage as opposed to time though. Shed some light?

You could wait till the change oil light comes on cause the computer calculates when it should be done, but the standard is 3 months or 3000 mi which ever comes first.

My change oil light comes on after I start my car for a few minutes then goes away. It's done this since my last oil change about 3 months ago. Anyone else have this happen to them?

after your oil change you have to reset it by putting the key in the on position and then holding the trip reset till the light flashes

    My 2 cents:

I change the oil in the TA every 6 months, April and october.

I've been using Havoline in all my vehicles for the past 23+/- years. It's always available and moderately priced.
