2001 CAMARO SS / Black- 2009 COLORADO V8/dk gray
Oem temp gauge
After much help from the guys on the forum, who all agree that the 2001 Camaro SS temp gauge is not the greatest, Question. I'm playing around with the idea of installing an aftermarket temp gauge. Has anyone done it? Do I change just the gauge or do I need a new sender too? Where's the best place to mount it and how? Any input will be most appreciated. Thanks...

I went with the "Cyburdine" digital gauge mounted on the drivers side pillar. I purchased the appropriate sending unit for this gauge (1/8 NPT) and had both installed @ a auto electrical shop. I believe the sending unit was installed on one of the cylinder heads into a drain port of some kind.
Sorry I could not be more specific.
