Odometer numbers scramble after long highway drives?

Weird. If I drive the 99 trans am around for more than a couple hours, the LED numbers on the odometer scramble around for a while, like a few minutes. Then they reset correctly on the trip and odometer readings. Not really a problem just wondering wtf is going on?

My radio ones do the same, but not the trip/odometer.

Make sure that the cluster is screwed in tight. If it is loose, the cluster can lose connection and do what you are describing.
