    Not getting fuel

So I got up this morning at 0700, so I could go to my buddies shop and install my recently purchased 9" Rear. My car has been sitting since November, so of course the battery is dead. I push it out of the garage and attempt to jump start it with my Mazda. Trans Am turns over and over and over...but no start. So I check the fuel rail for fuel...no fuel . My thinking was that since the car had been sitting for so long, the fuel filter had clogged, so I changed it out (I had one sitting in my garage from last year when I wasn't getting spark). On a side note: changing a fuel filter in 35 Degree weather BLOWS!!! Anyway, so after the filter is changed, I try to start the car again. Again there is no starting. By this point I'm cold, pissed and about to kick my car. I again check the rails for pressure...there is a little, but it didn't gush out like it should. So now I'm thinking it's the Fuel Pump. So now I have to fucking drop the tank (without a lift) and change out that mother f**ker. And I can't wait till it gets warm because my car is now sitting halfway in the street, because I can not push it back into the driveway (I'm on a hill).

Now before I drop the tank, replace the pump and still not have it start...is there anything else I should check?

Pull the carpet and cut the body then install a door.

I would take it loose from the filter again and see turn the key over and see if she spits it out there. Might have gunk in the lines

do you hear the pump prime? Swap out the relay with the a.i.r. relay if you don't hear it and see if it's just the relay. Probably a good idea to put a gauge on the rail to verify no pressure. Have you tried turning the key on and off a few times to try and get it to prime up? Since you're doing the rear anyhow it's not a bunch more work just to drop the tank and do the pump....I would actually recommend it anyhow. That's when I did mine.

Can I just buy the pump, or do I NEED the harness to make this pump work?
