The gauge is more of a dummy gauge... from what I can tell it's only accurate to about 210 and then it'll just show you a overheat condition. I have my fans set to 211/205ish on/off for low speed and 218/210ish for high speed. The factory setting was pretty high IMO...high fans didn't even come on until 230's. Are your high speed fans kicking on?

Only way to know your true temps is by reading live data using tuning software like hptuners or some handheld programmers like the predator.

According to my gauge 160 but I had things reprogrammed. But nominally 210 is about right

With stock fan settings in hot weather, stop and go traffic (no AC and t-tops off) my car did that. It would go back below 210 as soon as I got moving. Like stated earlier, stock fan on/off temps are very high.

    Almost Every Stock Guage Off

If you know someone that has a temp. gun take a reading of the upper hose and you can see how far off your guage is!!!!!
We use a scan tool to look at "live pids" which is actually live data from the sensors which I've found over the years unless it's 2 years old or newer it's always off on a analog guage!!

    Post your findings PLEASE!!!!
