    No start, help

Ok, things that are not contributing to this: Starter, battery, corrosion, VATS, and suprisingly the clutch switch at the bottom of the clutch travel.

I checked all of the above and replaced the switch because it was only 12 bucks for a ACDelco switch from the dealer. The car still does not start intermittantly. I can stomp on the clutch pedal a few times and usually get it to go, but sometimes it takes longer. It will go several stars with no problem at all. It does not seem to be related to temp at all.

What else could this be. Does the switch at the top of clutch travel have anything to do with it? Could that be hanging up. I even taled with a shop manager at the dealer and he said it could only be the switch. Has anyone else had problems with the wiring for it?

does it crank over and just not start or does the starter not engage at all?

no starter engagement, doesent spin and the solenoid doesent clik. I dont think it is actually sending power to the starter. If you keep the key turned and stop on the clutch pedal it will eventually start

Now was this the same with both the new and old clutch switch? Are you sure when you put the new switch in you got it adjusted right? It really does sound like the clutch switch unless that's just coincidence. Since you changed the switch out it kinda rules that out though unless the switch isn't adjusted right. No security light on since you've ruled out vats I assume. You've kinda ruled out most of the things I would've started with. I would now start doing things like when it does it to not stomp the clutch but get down with my hand and manually push the switches in and out a couple of times and try it again. Then I would start wiggling wires one at a time until I found something that worked. Sorry I couldn't be much help but it seems like you've done most of what I would've done. Now it's just a matter of elimination until you find it.
