When i bought my 02 ws6 it had a loud mouth on it. I havent had any complaints. When I just took my car to be inspected I failed. I was told that is no longer leagal in NJ since Jan. This sucks. any suggestions for a "real muffler"

The LM doesn't make emissions any different, what did they fail you on - was it the noise?

Forgot to mention...you can go to www.ls1sounds.com and get an idea on how other systems sound.

Did you go to a private shop or a state facility?
I took mine through in December with the GMMG exhaust, and the inspector was raving about how good it sounded and I passed right on through. This was at a state facility.

If the car was originally delivered in your state with that exhaust system on the car, it should, would be grandfathered in and should, would have to pass your states inspection

Seriously if you do not live to far from Bridgeton make an appointment and have it go thru there the inspection people there are cool and really do nto bust anyone's balls.
If you do not know where Bridgeton is either PM or email me and I will be happy to give to directions and any other info if you need it? I just took my 98 on June 1 to get inspected no problem.
Hopr this helps you out, we need to find a easier better way to deal with the state's F**KED up way of dealing with our cars.

Have a muffler shop cut out the resonator and weld in a Dynomax bullet muffler. It's what's referred to as a "dynomouth" around here. Technically Loudmouths aren't legal around here either, but with all the loud choppers running around nobody really seems to notice a loud car that much.
