    .40 is recommended gap for the LS1 engine per a TSB put out in '04 or '05 I believe. Original was .060 but Gm saw fit to modify this to a tighter gap. That being said I would hesitate to "open them up".

    I did a full search on the gap thing. .055 seems very popular. Many reports show little difference from. 040 to. 055. I checked the plugs sent from ky and they are all set at. 050 to. 055.

    I do know if you run N2O you need a different gap then when running just gas. I'm not spraying.

    NGK plugs come with 2 different part number for some reason. So whether you are buying NGK plugs for your LS1 or your weed wacker try to find and search both numbers. To find TR55 locally or on an auto parts chain store website (Napa, Autozone, etc) try using part number 3951. Also most of the you can walk into a parts store and ask for a TR55 and they'll be able to look it up and get you what you want.
