New buit LT1 383 Idle problems
Well I finally Got the Stroker built installed and running. I seem to have a problem with the idle. With the MAP sensor unplugged the car will idle fine around 600RPM but with the MAP sensor hooked up it wont idle at all. Just dies like it loads up with fuel. I went and bought a new MAP sensor yesterday and it still dies.
I did not go with an aftermarket cam or Heads YET. There still stock. Just replaced the internals. Im not sure if the ECU is going to need tuned to run correct or not?
Can anyone give me an Idea of whats up?
Also I don't have the valves adjusted 100% yet, Still getting them built up. There about 98% correct. But I have one or two that still raddles a little. Could this affect it in any way?

I would check for a vacuum leak.

I have check the tps and it seems fine also its not throwing any type of code unless i unhook the MAP sensor.
I do have one Im assuming vacuum line off. Its the Top hose on the Right side of the Throttle body. Im not sure were it hooks up at I can also plug it while running and it makes no difference. I cant find any pictures that shows were it goes to. This is my first Lt1 build and I did not take the engine apart. I bought it along with a bucket of bolts so im in the dark here just trying to figure out this puzzle.

IF it stops raining I can take a look and see where it goes for you. You might also want to check the intake where it meets the block for leaks or even where the tb meets the intake.
