    Need urgent help with pushrod checker

    Guys, my brother in law is trying to use the Comp Cams pushrod checker ordered from TSP. HE opened the kit which was just the checker by itself in a blue bag with no instructions, and when he connected the 2 pieces and twisted them out as far as they would go they only reached 7 inches. Are we doing something wrong here? HE couldnt measure properly at 7 inches total length. Can anyone help us out here?

    I just roll them on a flat surface... If they are bent, it's pretty noticeable.
