Need urgent help!!!

I am going to buy an STS Turbo for my ls1 trans am and need to know if it will pass emissions in california? Any idea.....or suggestions?

I think it will, as long as the stock cats and sensors are left in place. The worst that could happen is have to take it off for inspection. Make sure it is tunned well

we dont have emmisions in ok but i would imagine if you still running cats and your tune is right i dont see why not. what kind of hp are you lookin at gaining?

if there is no CARB number or listed as 50 state leagle i doubt it is.

I am actually planning on buying the car it has .....NEW FULLY BUILT 30 OVER , MAHI DISHED FORGED PISTONS AND RODS, LS1 LINGENFELTER MOTOR WITH 6 LITER TRUCK ALUM. HEADS......NEW DUAL PROCHARGER INTERCOOLER WITH STS TURBO CHARGE!........NEW CORVETTE 6 SPEED TRANMISSON WITH STAGE 3 CLUTCH...........NEW 9" FORD REAR END..........LS1 EDIT computer..........644 HP 622 TORQUE AT LOW 12.5 PSI

Sound emissions ready to you guys........the guy says it passed with flying colors emissions in texas........but not sure if it is the same for cali......any other ideas........?

well sorry but the description sounds a little messed up a vette 6 speed for an ls1 would be a transaxle type and dual intercooler with single turbo?????
and the computer cant be an ls1 edit that is just a programming tool oh and with a turbo the tq should be more than the hp imop.......... good luck

Well needless to say I have passed on the purchase of that car, not because I coulnd't afford it but i have read nothing but bad things about that sts turbo system on this forum and others. If there is anyone out there that is selling a built street legal california emissions legal trans am with low miles please pm me or reply to this thread thanks to everyone that has helped!!!
