need sum advice, buying a 98 Z28

i've got a guy who wants to trade me a 98 Z28, his odometer shows 202000, he said the oil pump went out at 189000, he said a mechanic replaced the oil pump and bearings, wouldn't it be wise to go ahead and take the whole motor apart and check for other damage like cam, cylinders etc? he said the car runs strong and everything and the tranny was rebuilt at 168000 with a b&m shift kit ,so what do u guys think about the deal?

what are you tradeing him? thats an awefull lot of miles on a car and not just the motor will be having problems, suspension, tranny, exhaust, and other componets will start brakeing down and the car will start nickle and dimeing you death. up to you but I would stay clear.
