need some help

i'm new to the car building game and need some help. i own a 2000 SS and am looking to put a 383 stroker kit in it and was wondering what bolt ons (if any) can i put on and what cam do you reccomend?

A 383 is a SBC 400 crank in a 350 block, that would be a step backwards compared to the LS you have now.. pick up a Hot Rod magazine at your local news stand there are some great article on the LS lately.

Pick some very specific goals for you car. Like DD, weekend warrior, Racecar?
Drag race, autocross, circle track, drifting?
Do you have a horsepower or 1/4 mile time you're aiming for?

500 hp or less. has been dyno at 308 rear wheel as of now.

308 stock? Strong ls1 in that one. Good h/c/i on a Scoggin Dickey 413 shortblock would make very good hp.

i have no idea what all is done. i bought it as is. there are headers and exhaust work but that's all that i know for sure
