Need, Knock Sensor info.

My serv. engine light came on, so I had the trouble code read, it was a low input reading from my knock sensor. So I'm woundering if any knows how big of a pain in the ass it is to fix?

not real bad at all. Just pull the intake and the knock sensors are underneath it in the valley cover. I would also just replace both while you have it torn down that far. I would also upgrade to the newer sensors and harness. Where in Ohio are you at? I'm in Lancaster just southeast of Columbus.

Cool! I'm in Lancaster 2!! I went to Auto Zone, thay had 2 kinds. 1. notched & 2. unnotched. Do you happen to know if 98' LS1 are notched or not? Or Where I can get this upgraded sensors and harness?

Here are the part numbers. I ordered mine through GM parts direct ( board sponsor).
harness wire: part # 12601822
newer sensor: part # 12589867 (2 required)

I paid $98 shipped for those. The real bitch is I just threw my old ones away last week that you could've had for free.
I'm actually off of Rt 22 just past Lake Rd. Maybe we can meet up sometime and shoot the shit. I have a black 98 formula and a yellow 04 GTO with an 05 hood on it. I can also change those sensors out if you don't wanna mess with it. I've had my intake off more than once.
