need help with water symbol light on dash.

I drove my Trans thursday and about one hour of driving a red symbol made like a box with what seems to me to be water in it . Is this a warning for the radiator low coolant or something else? I added some antifreeze and parked it. Tried it today and no light,but I saw the gauge go to 210 and no fans came on.they comes on with the AC like they are suppose to.I have checked all the fan fuses and they are all good.What is this light for.I have never had any lights of any kind so they are new to me. need help.

Yeah it's a low coolant light - how much did you have to add?

I added about a quart.At what temp do the fans come on without the AC going? would that one quart make the low coolant light come on?

'99 stock fan temps:

low on 226/off 217
high on 235/off 226

Can't go by the cluster gauge though since they're not accurate on the 99 and up. Don't know if only a quart low will set the low coolant light, mine doesn't have one. I'd just let the car completely cool down overnight and check the level in both the radiator and overflow - if the light doesn't come back you're probably fine. Could also be a fluke, the sensors go bad all the time - that's why GM took them off the F cars in 2000.
