    Need help asap!!!

Just got done putting the motor back in the 02 ws6. Auto car. I installed a new flexplate, filter and a whole bunch of other stuff. Got everything running, fluids filled and checked, shifted in drive......and BAM!!! I don't move.....I see the shifter switching the gears on the tranny, but nothing is moving. All gears are the same. Any thoughts?

Dumb question, but you did bolt the stall converter back up to the flex plate?

Yep. New shifter cable, even checks to make sure it was going into gear.

Tranny lines connected back to the cooler on the radiator?

Yep. Everything has been hooked up to spec.
I think the trans pump is bad. I'm going to pick up a rebuilt trans with a 2500 stall this afternoon and sell my existing trans to someone that can rebuild them. The car has been down way too long.

Is there a way to test the pump to see if it's working? I know my way around the motor, but the transmission is a foreign language to me.

Hmmm....if it was working before. Weird that it would suddenly stop.
I guess you can pull the tranny lines from the radiator and see if fluid comes out.
Tranny fluid is full when running?

Yea. It's full. I'll pull the lines and see if fluid comes out. Should I do it while it's at idle?

Yes at idle. So the pump will be working.

What Ed said -- I question if the converter was fully seated? Did the transmission mate up to the engine easily, or did you have to draw it together with the bolts?

I don't really remember. If I was having issues with it, then I think it would stand out. At this point, I've already got a rebuilt trans and a new stall. So I'm just gonna pull it and seek it as a core.
