    Arrow in need of help

    Hello everyone....I'm not sure what going on in the back of my 1998 FORMULA....I mean it rides good But there is a Bump or shell I say something bumps the bottom when I get on it?.....Also what's that long arm running up to the Transmission?...can it be taken off ...Please someone help me

    The clunk could be a broken trans or motor mount. The long arm from the rear end to the trans is the torque arm. It keeps the rear end from winding up on acceleration. No you cannot remove it without a replacement.

    trans mount is the first place I would look. Easy to swap out and pretty cheap.

    most of the time you can't even see the tear... how ever... what you can do is see if your shifter moves up and down when you get on the gas good...

    Hey guys....I got under there and Looked then jack up the trans some and it was the Trans mount and you were right Orion it was a pretty cheap fix and easy...Now I can act a fool with out it sounding like the trans is coming through the floor....lol

    must b a m6?? i broke several tranny mounts and 3 stock torque arms...
    glad it was an easy fix!
