I am trying to buy new fuel injectors and i am unsure on what fits in the ls1 cars. I want to get a good set of like 36lb or 42lb injectors. i was thinking of just buying the stock cobra injectors but i do not know if it fits.

I have a set of 60s that will fit if interested, although depending on your mods that may be too much.

I was going to ask what mods were for that high of an injector.

Definitely need to know your mods. Stock injectors are only 28lbs.

Unless you are running a power adder you shouldn't need anything over 36. Frost told me that for most head/cam you don't need over 32. So like I said unless you have a power adder I can see the 42 being too much.

Correct. Bigger is not better in this instance unless you have aftermarket parts requiring more fuel delivery, which usually also means a larger fuel pump too.

Unless you have a power adder and a cam / heads the 36lb injectors will work without a pump change. If you are below 425 rwhp you can use the 28's or 36's with the stock fuel delivery system

thanks for the responses guys.. i am running a cam only right now with full exhaust and a stall. i thought the stock injector size was 24lbs but i could be wrong. im thinking of picking up a stock set of cobra injectors which is like 36lbs. i just want to make sure they fit. im also going to go with a bigger maf like 85 to 88mm

Your motor wouldn't run on 24lb injectors. Stock are always 28lbs unless you have a 99 which are 26lbs.

Why are you messing with the MAF? The stock MAF is very good and is able to handle up to mid 500's even with power adders.

Whatever you do don't go the SLP MAF route. You'll regret it. At best your tuner will love/hate you. Hate you for the time it takes to tune it and love you because the cost pr hr he's charging you.

my car runs very sluggish and i have thrown a code in the past for the maf. im not sure which one it was either po107 or po106 i forgot but im thinking of getting a bigger one so my car will breathe better and it might be worth it in the long run. I was thinking of going granatelli, ive heard very good things about them

Try cleaning it with CRC MAF cleaner first. If it is indeed bad, I'd replace it with another OEM GM unit.

Are you using a K&N air filter?

If so your problem is that the oil from the filter is dirtying your sensor. Like Jon posted use CRC MAF cleaner and see if that helps.

Also drop the K&N filter and go back to paper.

I would get a SD tune and dump the MAF before getting a bigger MAF personally. That way you can run a 4" coupler from the lid to TB if your lid and TB are that size.
