I'm sure it would hing on the type of driving(stop&go or 2-4 lane) not sure what pads are on mine I'm sure nothing special, they were on it when I got it, but I get very little dust if you wipe it with a rag you see it a little but nothing bad

That's good to know. I'll have the HPS pads on come spring.

I bought some cheapy Duralast Ceramic for my back brakes at about 65k to replace the OE. Stupid things have Duralast in big letters easily visible, and they are still about 35% remain with now 118k miles. Back wheels never really got dirty either way.

Fronts I replaced with some kind of high quality pads, it may have been Thermo Quiet from Wagner, but I'm not sure. About 1,000 miles after I put them on, I went thru a car wash (I know, it was a moment of weakness) and the calipers came thru looking like new. Bright polished silver looking, and I've never cleaned them. My front wheels are always clean now, except for normal dirt. Much better than before.

HPS pads have a good rep as well.

Well, just installed those brakemotive drilled and slotted rotors from eBay, all 4 shipped for $133. Can't beat that. Used all 4 autozone gold ceramic pads ($35 front, $45 rears) and well, pretty FUGGIN good brakes. They sound weird at first but once u brake em in according to brake motives instructions, they are fantastic. Only got few miles on them, I even spray painted the outer backsides of the front pads black and no noise, no pulses, first tjing i notice Is how good they stop when in traffic, slow speed quick stopping is schweet. Not bad for 200 bucks out the door. Let ya know how bad the dust is....

^^^you won't have any dust. Clean your calipers once and see them stay that way!

I just found out the brakes on my 2000 TA were toast when a deer jumped in front the car on the parkway, near miss. Went to Autozone and got Duralast ceramics for the front and new rotors from O'reily (better deal). Have had good luck with the Duralast pads and they do honor the warranty, go a free replacement set for my last car no questions asked. They go on the car Saturday. Fluid looks black so that will be changed too. I'll do the backs in a few weeks.
