How intensive is putting on fuel pump on a 98 Z28 LS1 Camaro? What kind of cost should I expect?? Thanks!!!

I see most people posting prices of $750-$1k for shops to intall them. You can do it yourself for $250 or so and an afternoon. That's going with a racetronix kit from Harris Speed ( sponsor). There are 2 methods. One is to cut an access panel in the hatch area above the tank and pull it that way then rivet a piece of sheet metal over the hole. I dropped the tank when I did mine which is a lot more work but no cutting involved. The rear has to be dropped down, the rear exhaust has to come off, driveshaft, and a few other things. Plan on 8 hours or so your first time with a helper.

had one installed on my lower tahoe for 80.00 they had to drop the axle and they took about 4 hours. i have friends that are mechanics though so that makes a difference
