There are different steps and levels to vats and I don't know all of them. I only know that there are basically just a few things the car will do. Some won't start at all, some will start after 4 minutes, and some will start/drive fine with the security light on all the time. Usually it's only a matter of time before it won't start at all. Vats interupts the starter and fuel pump to keep the car from starting. A solid lit or flashing security light is 100% an issue with vats.
I should say all the cars that I did deal with a vats issue were not F-bodys. And at first seemed like a hundered different things... but yes it progressed to not starting at all.

Keep us posted OP. It's amazing how cars can turn on their owners over time. Makes me wonder if the designers thought of this issue ever happening.

I tried to the steps on the picture and it didn't work. What could be the problem. Is normal that the security light is blinking when the switch is on?

I was thinking it could be the clutch celenoid. Or whatever it's called.
    Could that be the problem?

If the security light is blikning while the key is turned to "RUN" then no. That's the VATS disabling the ignition system. I can't remember if there is a way to bypass the neutral safety switch to start the 4th gens.

    Red face

Everytime I hit the switch to start it. I hear something on the fuse box on the engine bay. The one on the drivers side.
Is that normal? When the starter was giving me hard time it used to be louder.
Could that be a bad relay/fuse?

Did you make sure you had the right resistor? cause once its bypassed it should crank right up with no problems, so if its not vats and everything was done correctly then its something else.
