my oopsies
So I went to go pass a car at highway speed yesterday. I went from fifth to third, and as I went into third I heard this loud bang, and it kind of felt like something seized up, and i dont think i even got into gear, so i threw it in neutral. I couldnt stop for a while, but when I went into 5th or 6th, it would feel like almost a slight, tiny amount of studder. Like my foot on the pedal would feel fine, and then it would be smooth for a split second, then back to normal. It shifted fine no problems. After i let it sit for a couple hours, i got back in and drove it, only noticed that weird feeling once. It may just be me, being paranoid now and listening n feeling everything, but it almost felt like a slight vibration now at around 1500rpms. I asked my one buddy and he said it could be a motor mount. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a possible clutch engagement issue. Does the car still have the original clutch/hydraulics ?

I had a buddy that did the exact same thing about 3 months ago, not saying this is your issue but afterwards he had a tick from the motor, Ended up bending a push rod on the over rev.
Chances are it felt weird because your were thinking the worse, I would continue to drive it and see if any problems arise otherwise just enjoy the ride...

i dont remember hearing for a tick, but ill listen to see what i hear. I only got worrying because i have to drive out to vegas on monday, and it would truly suck balls breaking down on the way out there, in the middle of nowhere, in the 100+ temps
