Is my clutch slipping??
For a couple months now, my car has been acting weird when I drop the clutch and try to do a burn out. The car drives great under normal driving and almost perfectly under WOT (needs a tune), but when i dump the clutch, the engine hits the rev limiter almost instantly and i don't get much of a burn out. I have 73,500 miles and i'm pretty sure it's the stock clutch. Could it be shitting the bed?

hmmm, now that i think of it, my clutch fluid has been black for a very long time and i don't think the previous owner did the drill mod. i'll have to look into that over winter storage. I don't think it's happening just during burnouts, I went for a test drive last night and first gear is lacking some serious acceleration.

If your clutch is really bad just go at a low speed maybe 35-40 mph and put it in 5th gear and floor it if the rpms pick up and your car doesnt go anywere initially your clutch is slipping. I do it on the freeway ill go about 55-60 and have it in 6th gear and floor it, usually when it slips the rpms will climb a few 100 and then the car will pick up speed.
