MityVac usage. Not holding pressure
Ok guys i got my mityvac today and i am trying to do the clutch fluid. I filled the resevoir up with fluid, I stuck it in the hole and i am not getting any solid pressure. Im holding it down with my finger and pumping it but it slowly lets the pressure out. When i try to pump it real fast to get to 10 mist shoots out of this little hole on the gun and its spraying all over my car and its pissing me off! lol. Why the hell wont it hold any damn pressure

Are you using a small cone on the hose in the reservoir? Also, which hole is it squirting out of exactly. Picture of it hooked up?

yeah i used the small long one.. It goes from gun to end, Gun, 2 inch hose, resevoir, long hose, small long cone. It sounds like its releasing air out of the resevoir..

Does the reservoir have little nubs (not sure what you call them) on the cap tubes? Some people have a tough time getting the cap to seal properly even with the nubby style. You could try a dab of silicone around the inlet and outlet, before sliding the tubes on. Sounds like that's where your problem is.

Ah, the fun of using a mity vac
When it comes to bleeding the hydraulic clutch on these 4th gens, I've found the good ole fassioned manual method works better for me and I"m done in 5 minutes.. Hooking up the mity vac is time consuming, and then it's just something else that needs cleaned when you're done.
Don't get me wrong, they have their place, I just don't feel the hydraulic clutch system is one of them. Hope it works out for you, some people have success with them

It's up inside the bellhousing. Driver side at about the 9 or 10 o'clock position you'll see the access hole. It's a metric size nut inside there. 10mm maybe?? Can't remember, but a deep well socket and 1/4" drive ratchet does the trick.

If you are starting with a brand new system where everything is dry, I like to remove the braided line from the bellhousing, stick it in a cup and use a screw driver to hold the quick release clip back, (there is a check ball in there that needs to be released to bleed) and let the entire system gravity bleed to that point. Then simply plug it back in.
That way the only air left in the system will be at the slave inside the bellhousing, and that can be done quickly with the bleeder screw.
Doing it this way only takes about 3 pump and bleed cycles and it's done. Otherwise you'll be pumping all night to remove air from the entire system.

Removing the braided line and gravity bleeding the upper portion of the system you can do on your own.
For bleeding the slave inside the bellhousing, you'll need a partner to pump the pedal in the car while you work the bleeder screw.
That's really the only advantage to the mity vac, being able to work on your own. But if it becomes a hassle, (which is sometimes is) then it's not much help. I just recruit my wife, after 30 years of dealing with me she is used to coming out to pump brake pedals and stuff

I never had much luck with the Mityvac either. same thing with it never holding pressure. Just did it the correct way with the Bleeder screw.

Try it and see. Maybe that will work for you.
I've never had much luck with the mity vac even on wheel cylinders and calipers. Those rubber cups never seal tight enough on the bleeder valves to really do much of anything.
