    Might be getting a Z28..questions

    Okay, so I have a pretty trustworthy friend selling a Z28 for around 7k. It has 70k miles on it and has a few mods

    forged pistons, ls6 heads, tr224 cam, longtubes, magnaflow, spec clutch, ls6 intake, slp lid

    Only problem is it has low oil pressure. He says it is probably the oil pump O-Ring is pinched. he said it's low at idle, goes up some with rpm

    What do yall think

    he said its on the red at idle..crusing it does up and the engine doesnt knock

    normally when the o-ring gets pinched during an install it'll show up pretty much immediately. Did he say if it just started out of the blue or if it had been like this since he did the work? Not saying it can't still be the o-ring but spun bearings are not that uncommon for the LS1's...especially if it's a 98.

    if it has low oil pressue just think about adding a couple grand on top of the selling price because of possible spunbearing and or o ring. Trust me i bought a 99 z28 have to put up the money to get it done. either that or drive it slow and whats the point of that its a effing ls1.
