    hello everyone im new on here and i really need some help..i have a 2001 camaro 3.8 my spark plugs were arching..i bought new plugs and wires to save from the 400 dollar dealership cost and 250 dollar private shop cost...didnt realize how diff these damn things are...does anyone know how to get the old wires off...i read they are soldered on if that is true how ..please help i ripped off a wire trying to get them off lol thanks mike you can email me if you can help at texohio2002@hotmail.com

    Sounds like your pulling from the wire, you should pull from the boot! I have never heard of any car that solders there wires to the plug.

    grab the wire by the boot and twist it back and forth while pulling. It's just stuck on there.

    Ive done quite a few plug/wire changes on 3.8 4th gens and every single one that I did the wires were on there good. Im assuming it is from the heat that causes them to get stuck so good, but the only real way to get them off is to pull your ass off. Dont be suprised if the wire breaks off before the boot comes off.
